Rosedale School

Rosedale School is located in Woodlands Centre, Renmore and provides an educational service for pupils aged 5 to 18 years with severe and profound learning disabilities in Galway City.

The school has operated a partnership model of education between the Department of Education and Skills and the Brothers of Charity Services since 1998.

A high staff/pupil ratio greatly facilitates each pupil’s learning experience. Each pupil has an Individual Education Plan which outlines their learning objectives.

We aim to provide pupils with the opportunities to access a broad and balanced curriculum suited to each pupils needs in accordance with Department of Education and Skills and the NCCA guidelines. Weekly programmes may include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, music, art, computer and iPad access and interaction, hand function activities, feeding programmes, multi-sensory stimulation, atmospherics, personal developments and social outings.
